Round-Up at the Ranch

When: October 9th & 10th, 2010

Where: Cub World at Zink Ranch

Who: Tiger Scout, Wolf Scouts, Bear Scouts, and Moms (NO Webelos)

Cost: $43 for Mom and Scout (Scout’s t-shirt included with fee)

$21.50 for each additional Scout

Howdy, Scouts and Moms! Come join us for a Round-up at the Ranch as we spend the weekend on the Ponderosa. You can see what it takes to be a Cowboy as you test your skills at BB gun, archery and round-up activities. Learn how to wrestle the cattle and swing from the zip line. We’ll play games, make crafts, make friends and try your hand at Scout skills.

Moms, if your idea of camping is pulling up to the old corral, then come hitch your wagon to the stars and let the ranch hands handle the rest for you! Bring your sack lunch on Saturday for you and your Scout; the Chuck Wagon will provide all the other meals. We have 90 platform tents with cots available for rent. First come, first serve only. There are lighted restrooms with flush toilets and hot and cold running water in the sinks. Ranch hands will transport all your gear from your car to your campsite. Please remember to brand (label) your gear. All you need is a sleeping bag and the willingness to have Rootin’ Tootin’ good time.

Register early! Turn in your registration with fees to the Scout Resource Center 4295 S. Garnett by September 30, 2010. Registrations submitted after this deadline will not be guaranteed a t-shirt. No make adults, except staff!

Scouts and their Moms should plan to arrive at the Ranch and gather at the OK Scout Corral for check-in between 7:00am and 9:00am Saturday to set up camp. Activities begin at 10:15am at the Longhorn Palace. The weekend campout will be over by 11:00am on Sunday. If you have any questions, please contact Nan Dickerson 747-2855 or nld91758@aol.com
