Judge Frizzell Receives Outstanding Eagle Scout Award

Chief Judge Gregory Frizzell of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Oklahoma received the Outstanding Eagle Scout Award of the National Eagle Scout Association at a luncheon on Wednesday, March 14, 2012.

The Outstanding Eagle Scout Award is a prestigious recognition granted by the National Eagle Scout Association committee of the local council of the Boy Scouts of America.  The award is made to Eagle Scouts who have demonstrated outstanding achievement at the local, state or regional level.

Judge Frizzell became an Eagle Scout in January 1974.  He was a member of Troop 664 in Bailey’s Crossroad, Virginia.

The Outstanding Eagle Scout Award was presented to Judge Frizzell by former Tulsa Mayor Robert LaFortune on behalf of the NESA Committee of the Indian Nations Council.  Mayor LaFortune is a member of the National Council of the Boy Scouts of America, a member of the Philmont Scout Ranch Committee and a recipient of the Silver Buffalo Award.
