Executive Board Meeting and Tulsa Scout Shop Grand Opening

The Indian Nations Council, Boy Scouts of America held it’s quarterly Executive Board Meeting on Tuesday, September 11, 2012 at the Donald W. Reynolds Scout Resource Center, followed by the Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting of the new Tulsa Scout Shop. Many special guests were in attendance including Cherokee Nation Principle Chief Bill John Baker, BSA Area 8 Director, Jim Denny, BSA Regional Board Member, Michelle Hardesty from the Hardesty Foundation, Elsom Eldridge, District Manager, Director-Stores, Sales/Planning and Development for the BSA National Supply, Dan Richardson, Regional Sales Manager and Will Tigard, Territory Manager for the BSA National Supply.

During the Executive Board Meeting, Boy Scout, Nicholas Anthony DiRicco was awarded the National Certificate of Merit for performing a significant act of service. Boy Scout, Brett Davis was awarded the Heroism Award and Steve Balman received the Alumni Award for his accomplishments in alumni identification and promotion, alumni engagement, personal participation, and personal education.

Indian Nations Council Director of Field Service, Mark Conrad announced that he has accepted the position of Scout Executive of the Texas Trails Council in Abilene, TX. The Council wishes him well in his new position.
