During the weekend of September 15th there were more than 800 Scouts at the Mabee Scout Reservation for the Eagle District Webelos “Olympiad” Weekend and to celebrate the Grand Opening of the Williamson Shooting Sports Complex & Family Camping, Stephenson Wilderness Camp and the Robson High Adventure Area & Mega Zip. It was an exciting weekend for our Council.

It was a pleasure to honor the donors who helped to build these wonderful facilities for our Scouts to enjoy. Many donors, Executive Board Members and special guests were in attendance including; Charlie and Peggy Stephenson, Emily Williamson Perkins, Brooks Williamson and Frank Robson. We heard from Robert Atherton, VP, District Operations and Executive Board Member, Jim Holloman.

Scouts and families were able to tour the facilities and test their skill at the rifle range, archery range and shotgun range. Due to the weather, we were not able to use the Robson High Adventure Area or Mega Zip but there will be plenty of opportunities in the near future!

NEW THIS FALL: The Indian Nations Council will be offering a Shooting Sports club and a High Adventure club for you to participate in. On the first Saturday of every month the Williamson Shooting Sports Complex will be open and on the second Saturday of every month High Adventure areas will be open at either the Mabee Scout Reservation or the Jack Graves Scout Reservation. More information coming soon! Contact the Scout Resource Center to schedule (918) 743-6125.
