LEVEL UP! At the 2013 Eagle District Camporee / WOW Weekend
Date: April 19-21, 2013
Location: Camp Garland at the Mabee Scout Reservation


Hopefully, by now, you have seen the communications regarding this year’s Eagle district Camporee / WOW weekend. Now is the time to nail down your plans and finalize your registration. This year there are several events that require advance registration and notification. These are as follows:

  • Merit Badges – space is limited and many have already put their names in for the merit badges. American Heritage, Law and Wilderness Survival are being offered.
  • Top Shot Archery and Shooting Competition – each troop needs to preregister their team.
  • Adult Training – Boy Scout Leader Specific training is being offered, but space is limited and many have already put their names in for the training.

Camporee / WOW Schedule

Here is the schedule of events for the weekend, to help you with your planning:


2:00 PM Camp Garland open for set-up

9:00 PM Information meeting – Cracker Barrel for SMs, SPLs and Staff only


8:00 AM Webelos arrival

9:00 AM Opening flag ceremony

9:30 AM Webelos Activity Pins

BLOCK 1 (60-75 minutes)

Boy Scouts

Begin 5-mile hike (including flora and fauna ID)

Merit badges

Scout skills

Adult training class 1

11:00 AM Webelos Activity Pins

BLOCK 2 (60-75 minutes)

12:30 PM Lunch with Troops (short time period, so we recommend you keep it simple)

1:00 PM Brotherhood hike starts

Safety training for shooting sports

1:30 PM Begin compass course for Boy Scouts

Adult training class 2

Zip Lines (Boy Scouts) and Climbing wall open

2:00 PM LEVEL UP! games for Webelos and Boy Scouts

4:00 PM Troop “Top Shot” archery and shooting competition

Skit auditions

Brotherhood ceremony

5:30 PM Closing flag ceremony

6:00 PM Dinner – individual Troops

8:00 PM Campfire program


7:00 AM Breakfast – individual Troops

9:00 AM Chapel service

10:00 AM Dismiss
