Marty Colvin

Marty grew up in Tulsa, Oklahoma. After graduating from Edison High School in Tulsa he enlisted in the US Marine Corps. After the Marines Marty moved back to Tulsa where he took a job with the Tulsa County Sheriff’s Office and attended school at Tulsa Community College where he  received an Associate in Law Enforcement and Applied Science. After working with the Sheriff’s Office he went to work in for the Oklahoma Department of Public Safety as a State Trooper. He worked for the State of Oklahoma in the Tulsa Area for approximately 8 years. He then moved to Clayton, NM and work for the Police Department. Marty then Went to Cherokee, Oklahoma as Chief of Police.  Marty became involved in Cherokee New Life Assembly where they appointed him as their Youth Pastor. After a Year in Cherokee Marty and his family moved to Beaver Oklahoma and took the job as Chief of Police. Marty was asked to lead the Youth Group at Beaver Assembly of God and lead Praise and Worship and Sunday school and he took those positions. During this period Marty became the Intern Associate Pastor for 1st Beaver Assembly.  Marty left Beaver, Oklahoma to go back to school in 2011.   He moved back to Tulsa and attended Oklahoma Wesleyan University.  Marty worked for Turley Assembly of God as a Youth Pastor and for G4S Secure Solutions as a Project Manager while attending school full time. He graduated from Oklahoma Wesleyan University with a Bachelors of Science in Ministry and Leadership in 2013. Marty currently volunteers as a Church Plant Pastor for Life on the Edge Wesleyan Mission Church in Owasso, OK a mission of Tulsa Wesleyan Church.
