The Silver Beaver Award is presented by the National Council, Boy Scouts of America (BSA), through the Indian Nations Council to adult volunteer Scouters for their distinguished service to youth and their community. The Award is intended to acknowledge noteworthy service of exceptional character to youth by BSA-registered leaders within the territory under the jurisdiction of the local council. It is considered the highest award a Boy Scout Council can bestow upon a volunteer Scouter.
The 2015 Silver Beaver Award Recipients and Hans Helmerich 2015 Class Eagle Scouts will be honored at the March 26, 2016 Council Recognition Banquet.
Submit your community service hours now! The council is offering a $500 Gift to the top serving Cub Scout Pack and Boy Scout Troop. Hours must be submitted by the end of the year to be considered.
Consider applying for funding through Tread Lightly!’s 25 for 25 program! The national nonprofit organization Tread Lightly! has launched an initiative funding 25 Restoration for Recreation projects to celebrate its 25th anniversary. Maximum funding possible is $2,000.
The Ethan Giving Tree Program will run November 16-December 19 at the Tulsa Scout Shop. The program works on an anonymous donation basis, similar to a Salvation Army Angel Tree. Simply select a card of a Scout in need off the Ethan Tree and purchase the items listed, leave the items with a Scout Shop staff member and the Scout in need will receive your generous donation.
Visit the United Way Holiday Boutique this weekend and help support our partnership with the United Way of Rogers and Mayes Counties.
We are giving away FREE BOBCAT BADGES to the first 500 new advancements turned in to the Scout Service Center.
November 21st at 6pm. The $16 ticket includes a game ticket, a t-shirt, a fan tunnel experience to welcome the Golden Hurricanes on the field and a special tailgate with a drink and hot dog!
