The Purposes of
Cub Scouting
The ten purposes
of Cub Scouting relate to everything that we do. From the
boy who joins as a Tiger Cub and works closely with his adult
partner, to the Bobcat who learns the Cub Scout Promise and
the Law of the Pack, to the Wolf and Bear as they work through
advancements, to the Webelos Scout as he prepares himself
to become a Boy Scout, leaders, parents, and community organizations
help the boys achieve the purposes:
- Character Development
- Spiritual Growth
- Good Citizenship
- Sportsmanship and Fitness
- Family Understanding
- Respectful Relationships
- Personal Achievement
- Friendly Service
- Fun and Adventure
- Preparation for Boy Scouts
